Our Juniper Tree Nursery is one of the most modern tree nurseries in North America.
Located in central New Brunswick, it's where millions of seedlings begin their journey to the forest—each one grown with care, precision, and an eye to the future.
Quick Facts:
- Capacity to produce over 25 million seedlings annually
- Grow white spruce, red spruce, black spruce, norway spruce, white pine and jack pine
- 6 greenhouses, each 32,000 square feet (that’s about the size of two ice hockey surfaces)
- Each greenhouse holds 1.8 million seedlings in 28,080 standard trays
- A robotic transplanter moves 16,000 seedlings an hour into larger trays as they grow
- The transplanter enables a new approach to germination, in mini plug trays, allowing 5 million seedlings to get their start in each greenhouse
- Outdoor holding areas—including retractable-roof structures the size of two football fields
From the moment a seed germinates to the day it ships to the tree planting crews, greenhouse conditions, growth rates, and nutrient levels are carefully monitored. When you're growing millions of trees, every detail matters.
