A landmark restored
The old St. George Mill has stood at First Falls since 1904 — one of New Brunswick’s most photographed landmarks. When age and weather began to take their toll, J.D. Irving, Limited stepped in with structural work and a fresh coat of brilliant red paint, preserving what matters to the community for generations to come.

The major capital investments we’re making now—from tree nurseries to mills—aren't just about upgrading equipment. They're about keeping operations strong, jobs secure, and communities stable for decades to come.
It’s backed by confidence in the future of the wood supply. In 2025, across our forest supply chain, we invested $630 million (USD) in capital projects and spent $1.6 billion (USD) with local suppliers.
That shows up as paycheques for workers, contracts for local businesses, and tax revenue that helps fund schools, roads, and services everyone depends on.
