Back in May 2015, our tree planting crew broke the Guinness World Record for trees planted in an hour! We don't hold the record anymore. Someone else planted faster. That's fine.
What mattered that day—and what still matters—is the rhythm. One seedling every few seconds. Thousands a day. Millions a year. Over and over. In the heat. In the rain. With the flies. On rough ground. As a team.

Boldly going where no New Brunswick tree has gone before.
18 white spruce seedlings grown by Irving Woodlands were selected for a special research mission in space. Research was led by Natural Resource Canada’s Canadian Wood Fibre Centre.
Our seedlings traveled aboard the space shuttle Discovery to the International Space Station, where they were transplanted, cared for, and watered by astronauts.

Drone technology is now being used to deliver seedlings directly to tree planting crews in remote areas, reducing heavy lifting, ground disturbance, and fuel use.
